How often do you say "Sorry"?
Study Reveals Why Women Apologize More Than Men
If you think you hear women saying “I’m sorry” more than men, you’re right. Women apologize more often than men do, according to a new study.
But it’s not that men are reluctant to admit wrongdoing, the study shows….
It’s really interesting to read an article that isn’t just focussed on the inherent social repercussions of apologies, but also of the gender differences in defining (and their perceptions) of what is right and wrong.
“If you think you hear women saying “I’m sorry” more than men, you’re right. Women apologize more often than men do, according to a new study.”
I don’t really disagree with this, but I feel the need to point out that 32 uni students from Ontario logging offensive acts and apologies daily, and 120 undergrads from Ontario rating the offensiveness of example scenarios does not a universal statistic make.
I mean I’d be hesitant to say that Women apologize more than Men in Ontario based on data collected from less than 200 people, let-alone that women apologize more than men IN GENERAL AS A SEX.
