atomic clocks and how a black hole stops time
if you wanted to live forever, you could simply hang out at the lip of a black hole, where time would have come so close to stopping, it might as well be stopped completely. (because of the gravity’s stretching spacetime, OK.) this is also how you could travel into the future: chill by the black hole for 500 or so years, and then pop back to earth. you’re still young, but earth has aged 500 years. once a theory, the nist researchers have confirmed it to a very, very precise degree.
