Do you agree with the humanist notions of de Beauvoir, or would you lean towards a more essentialist view? I don’t know why I can’t get on board with the essentialist view even though it seems kind of right.

Essentialism assumes truth in the science it’s based on, which is way too fucking dangerous cos we aren’t even close to figuring out brains.

Humanist. Biology may play a role in how we think, but it isn’t ultimate. To me, Essentialism also seems to encourage fear of the other.
