if i typed out my posts like this with even more erors than usual it would not by any meens change the content of my blog.
Because syntax is not content.
So all of you assholes out there that think you’re daddy cool because you know where to drop the apostrophe, shut up. Yes it helps, yes it’s neater, yes it’s prettier, but it’s not entirely necessary. If we could communicate purely by thought, without any need for language, we’d be passing back and forth these big ominous shapes and colors and feelings in our minds and it would be pure idea with no need for correcting or ‘Hey Bob I think you mean to think this’. And since language is meant to be a means of expression to get our ideas across (and not an end in itself), if it gets the thought across, it’ll do.
You all give far too much credence to words, and ironically, you go on to use them quite boringly.
So spend more time criticizing the person that says very little and less time criticizing the person that has something to say but can’t say it well.
Side note: I genuinely appreciate when people point out mistakes in my posts because it’s usually nice people doing it and I can tell the difference between somebody offering constructive criticism or simple correction and somebody being condescending or rude.
