Real Life Conversations, #12: Take Note, Olympic...
Mum: I was just watching the skating, it was really sad. Me: Why? Mum: This girl was skating, her Mum had come out to see her skate at the Olympics but she died of a heart attack. A sudden heart attack. So she’s dancing just for her Mum, to her Mum’s favourite song. Me: She’ll win now, she has the sympathy vote. Mum: No this is the free skating, after they compete they just skate...

I'm going to go see this band.  →
Martin Martini has a new act, and their music is beautiful. They have a gig this Saturday. I’m going. I don’t care if I have to go alone, I’m fucking going and that’s that. I even invited my Mother. I’ve been listening to the track ‘I know nothing about life’ on repeat for hours. If God wants to stop me from going to this gig then he’d want to have...

Yeah, so your mom looking like that little girl is pretty ridiculous… An additional note on The Fall: I’m one of those movie-watchers who gets completely engrossed in films, in a sense literally vicariously experiencing everything in these alternate worlds…And oh man did The Fall have a rather incredible effect. I just don’t understand how under-appreciated that movie is....

The Fall was a fantastic movie. Music, Visuals [brilliant], Dialogue and all. And speaking of music, Massive Attack is great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3m_wu5Ydj0 is probably my favorite. I like you, anonymous. I adored the Fall. I’ve seen photos of my mother when she was a child, and she looked just like the little girl in the movie. It kind of creeped me out and made me relate to...

3 day city adventure was intense.
Last day most of all. Woke up at 8:30am, drove until 12pm, train for an hour, bummed around the city with friends for seven hours, saw Amanda Palmer live at the Forrum, train for an hour, drove until 3am. Home sweet home. Oh and did I mention that I saw Amanda fucking Palmer?

19 hours ahead, you are. time is fascinating, and also relative. also, what do you study? i am a sophomore majoring in the history of art and in psychology. (i feel it is appropriate to divulge the same information one requests in situations like these) and i apparently feel the need to explain myself. - avocado Talk like Yoda, you do. The Road.
“On the outskirts of the city they came to a supermarket. A few old cars in the trashstrewn parking lot. They left the cart in the lot and walked the littered aisles. In the produce section in the bottom of the bins they found a few ancient runner beans and what looked to have once been apricots, long dried to wrinkled effigies of themselves. The boy followed behind. They pushed out through...

bright young things: worst night of my life →
I cried for almost the entire episode because I knew David Tennant wasn’t going to be the Doctor anymore… but I just broke down when he said ‘I don’t want to go’. I didn’t even cry this hard for I Am Legend. And you know how hard I cried then. I still miss Samantha.

worst night of my life
aufwiedersehen: I am bawling my eyes out, sobbing vocally, with snot pouring out of my nose; all because David Tennant is no longer the Doctor. I am so, so upset right now. I don’t think I’ll watch the new doctor. No disrespect to him, I’m sure he’s great, but I started watching for Tennant and I’ll stop now that he’s gone. I saw the final ep a while ago...

Sometimes when I see certain people advertise on...
mountainofpurgatory: saturdaytragic: You know, because Lady Gaga, T-Pain and all those other mainstream radio acts aren’t making an appearance. Sometimes when I see certain people ‘plainin’ (thats complaining, foo’) about others going to non-mainstream music festivals and concerts, I wonder whether they only like that music because of its indie, against the grain feel, even to the level...
